Welcome Team Managers!
Thank you for stepping up and taking on the role as Team Manager. This role is especially important being that you help organize administrative duties of the team, allowing the Coach to focus on practices, game strategies, and team building. Team managers also provide guidance to the parents and players about AYSO events, practice and game schedules, along with team activities. To help guide you through the season, take a look at the link below to better prepare for what is to come.
Team Managers,
My name is Krystal Hinojosa, I am the Region 363 Team Parent Coordinator for Moorpark AYSO. I have had the pleasure of corresponding with some of you over the past week, but for those of you new to the league, I welcome you to the AYSO community:)
My role as the team parent coordinator is to help guide you and answer any questions related to the role you have stepped into. Some of you have asked if team manger is the same as a team parent, mom/dad, and to clarify, the answer is yes! The title we use is team manager but the duties don't change.
To prepare for the season, I will be hosting a ZOOM meeting on Sunday, August 17th, at 6:00p.m. I originally scheduled the meeting for 5:00p.m., however, a small conflict with my schedule popped up and I had to move the meeting an hour later. With that said, I hope that you all can log on so I can go over the role of team manager, answer questions, and take in feedback on how I can improve the productivity of the season.
I look forward to seeing you all virtually on Sunday, August 17th at 6PM.
Team Manager Duties:
Discuss team manager roles with Coach and clarify what they would need/like assistance
Communicate information to the coaches, players, and families
Assist with coordinating snack schedule
Help with sign up for volunteer hours
In closing, on behalf of the Moorpark AYSO community, we thank you for volunteering. Without volunteers, running the AYSO program would not be possible.
