Welcome Moorpark AYSO Coaches!
THANK-YOU for volunteering, without you we would not have a program for over 1000 kids!
Where to start? It’s as easy as 1-2-3-4! Instructions below.
PLEASE NOTE THIS APPLIES TO HEAD COACHES AND ASSISTANT COACHES
Step 1
Coaches must register as a Region 363 volunteer every year, the sooner the better! The clearance process can take up to 2-4 weeks. If you are under your spouse's account it is recommended that open a separate account.
Step 2
Once you have registered as a volunteer you will need to complete a background check.
In addition to the background check, in 2022 California passed a law that all volunteers must also complete a Livescan fingerprinting. First year volunteers will be required to complete the Livescan fingerprinting.
Step 3
Coaches must complete SafeHaven and Concussion Awareness every 2 yrs. All coaches must also complete Sudden Cardiac Arrest certification. California recently passed a new law requiring volunteers in youth sports to also complete Safesport certification. Second year volunteers will only need to complete a refresher course.
(directions below)
Step 4
Coaches must be certified in the division that they are coaching.

Instructions for steps 1-2-3-4
STEP 1
Please Register as a volunteer TODAY, go to our website, www.moorparkayso.org and log into your account, click on the “Volunteer” Button on the left and then the “Volunteer Roles” on the top right, then “Select” Head Coach or Assistant Coach in the division that your child plays. Follow all the prompts, be sure to e-sign and submit all the waivers, and continue all the way to the end. It is best that you complete this on a computer and not a phone.
STEP 2
To complete the background check, you will receive an email from National AYSO. In the body of the email there will be a link to Sterling Volunteers. Please complete this ASAP. Check your junk folder as in years past this link has gone to our volunteers’ junk mail. If you cannot find the link to complete your background check please email Sterling Volunteers at [email protected]
You must also complete Livescan fingerprinting if this is your first time volunteering since 2022. If you volunteered last year(2022)) and completed your Livescan then you do NOT need to complete a Livescan again. Please fill out the following application on this link: Livescan Application
Take the application to Accu-Prints located in Moorpark. Please see the link for hours and location. It is recommended that you call and make an appointment. The $20 fee will be automatically billed to Moorpark AYSO. Accu-Prints Moorpark

Once you link on the AYSOu tab, which is located on the upper right, sign in with the same username and password as your Moorpark AYSO account. Once you are on the AYSOu site, go to the menu on the left, link on training library, and go to Safehaven. There you will find all three courses. Please save all your certificates. You can also follow directions on how to access AYSOu here
When you are registering you will be given a link to Safesport certification. This course will take about 60-90 minutes. If you did not complete the Safesport when you first registered you can go to your account on www.moorparkayso.org, link on volunteer, check the box next to Safesport, link on “renew and update”, and a link will appear for Safesport. Once again save your certificate for this course.
For volunteers who completed their Safesport last year, this year you will only complete a shorter refresher course. Upon the expiration of your Safesport you will receive an email notifying you of instructions on completing the refresher course.
